Hello Shaun, it’s me Ram from Chino Hills. You drew my pool for plans. Hope all is well. I just submitted my plans to the city and all went well. I wanted to take a moment and thank you 🙏. City person behind the counter who checked the plans said “wow who drew your plans? they did a great job”. I just wanted you to know your work was noticed! Thanks again Shaun! 

Let me first say that redesign is a stressful time made even more so by the scale that is being done.  While our front yard design, hard and soft scape, was big for us, Shaun at Novo Designs, made the transition as easy as it could be.  My husband had a hard time visualizing the difference until Shaun did the drawing for us and then almost couldn’t believe it but took the leap of faith.

From the beginning Shaun listened to everything we told him no matter how small it may have been.  He listened to our ideas about design, likes/dislikes and what we thought WE wanted the outcome to be.  Shaun offered clear no-nonsense answers to questions, gave us alternative ideas if something wasn’t going to work and worked alongside us to create a design that we loved and an outcome that I still marvel at when driving up our street.    

Not only did he listen to us at the beginning of the project, but he also listened along the journey.  Through the demo and rebuild he continued to guide us as needed.  While my husband & I shopped for materials, on the few occasions we needed to ask his opinion about choices, he never once said “Oh my gosh, what are you thinking?”  Shaun very professionally steered us in a direction that would be more appealing aesthetically. In addition, he is a valuable source of knowledge about where to shop and what to look for. 

Shaun is not only talented, knowledgeable, and professional but has a trait I value even more and that is honesty.  As the saying goes, he says what he means and means what he says.  To me this is the ultimate compliment considering the scam artists around today. 

As you can see from the photos the difference is astounding.  Without the photos you cannot even imagine how there could be such change.  Our completed project is so much more than the drawing Shaun did for us. This is my review of Shaun Bell. My wife and I decided to put a pool into our backyard in Yorba Linda California. I was advised from someone at my church to contact the Bells because of their knowledge of pools and they can provide good information.   I contacted Michelle Bell who works for a major pool company and she gave me numerous good ideas regarding the building of our pool.  Shaun Bell, her husband, also does pool design and landscape blueprints.   It was important to us to get a plan and a blueprint before we met with pool builders in order to show them our ideas and plan for the building of the pool. We decided to contract with Shaun Bell.  Over a two or three week period Shaun met with us many times. He came out to our house, did extensive measuring and figuring out exactly what we wanted, but at the same time, providing us with input.  He was open to changing the plan if we had different thoughts and on numerous occasions, we wanted to make changes and Shaun was completely flexible in making those changes.   Not only did he give us a pool design plan but he provided a very nice looking video of what the pool would look like both in the day as well as under the lights of night time.   It is July 2023 and our pool has been built. We are extremely happy with the way it came out. We are very happy with the design that Shaun provided for us.  Without that design the pool contractor wouldn’t have had a good idea of what we wanted.  We appreciate what Shaun and Michelle did for us and we would definitely recommend and use them again.   Fred and Karen Yorba Linda,  California.
